Mad Max (video game)
What a lovely day — in Seattle.
To commemorate the release of the new Mad Max video game on Sept. 1, Uber has partnered with Warner Bros. to offer Mad Max: Fury Road-themed rides through the Wasteland that is downtown Seattle.
The rides are free, the company says, because “your dollars are worthless in the Wasteland.” They have to stay within downtown Seattle, however, because “the Warboys must remain near their Stronghold” and, of course, “gas is precious.” Presumably, these Warboy Uber drivers won’t be offering you little bottles of water, either, so remember to bring your own.
The offer is up for four days, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 28 through Aug. 31. Here’s hoping at least one of the Wasteland-ified Ubers has a flamethrowing guitarist perched on its hood.
