X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger suffers leaving her on emergency antibiotic drip during final day of Judges’ Houses

X-FACTOR judge Nicole Scherzinger has been forced to get emergency treatment after suffering a severe illness in South Africa.

The former Pussycat Doll was left needing an antibiotic drip after taking her finalists over to a safari resort across the globe, after coming down with a horrific illness on the final day of filming.

The singer was almost rushed to hospital, but was luckily able to be nursed back to health on site.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: "Nicole had a lot of pain in her throat, and that was very worrying for her as a singer.

"She battled through filming but on the last day it got too much and she agreed she needed to see a doctor. It was very frightening, especially as she was thousands of miles from home."

They added: "Luckily, she returned to the hotel to finish her scenes that day. Nicole had to get the all-clear from doctors as she had a trip for UNICEF the next day."

Nicole was joined by grime artist Stormzy to choose her final three acts, before suffering the "frightening" experience.

On the episode of The X Factor, the overs – made up of Talia Dean, Slavko, Kevin Davy White, Berget Lewis, Matt Linnen and Tracy Leanne Jefford – eagerly awaited to hear their fate at Nicole's Judges’ Houses.

In the end, Nicole picked Matt, Kevin and Tracy to go though to the live final shows.

Viewers were left devastated that Talia was sent home, especially after Nicole was forced to bring her back during the Six Chair Challenge.
